Eleanor Julia “Ellie” Lucchese, 90, of Colts Neck, formerly of Lincroft, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024. Ellie was born in Manhattan, NY to John and Concetta (Porcaro) Palmieri. She was a graduate of St. Patrick Cathedral High School in Manhattan. Ellie was a longtime communicant of St. Leo the Great RC Church in Lincroft. She loved dancing and loved life and was a proud participant in Senior Olympics.

Ellie loved time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They will always remember her as making the BEST potato croquettes!

She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Frank and her sisters; Adeline, Concetta and Constance.

Ellie is survived by her children; Ralph (Teresa) Lucchese of PA, Karen Barishman of DE, Jodie Forminio of Staten Island and Joel (Dina) Lucchese of Lincroft, grandchildren; Robert Barishman, Alexa, JJ, Frank and Ava Lucchese, Jessica and Kayla Forminio and Nicole, Ralph, Gabrielle, Michael, Joshua, Elizabeth and Danielle Luchese and great-grandchildren; Nora, Michael, Jay, Emma and Nina.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, April 5th from 3pm to 7pm at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 6th, 9:30am, at St. Leo’s RC Church, Lincroft, NJ. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ellie’s name to Alzheimer’s Association Greater NJ Chapter, 23 Vreeland Rd #105, Florham Park, NJ 07932.
