OBITUARY OF ANN BAIRD LEE
ANN BAIRD LEE, 82, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in South Hampton, Long Island and lived in Rumson since 1955. She graduated from Ursinus College in Pennsylvania. She started her teaching career in Frenchtown, New Jersey. After raising her family she returned to teaching in the Union Beach School District and retired after many years of service. Ann loved tennis and was an accomplished player among the local clubs. She was a loving wife and a devoted mother to her children. Those who knew her found her to be a very gentle and kind person, and loved by all she came in touch with.
She is predeceased by her husband Robert Philip Lee, Sr. in 1996, her parents George White Baird and Julia Wells Fitz Baird, and her brother Charles F. Baird. Surviving are her sons Peter Baird Lee and his wife Cindy of St. Paul, MN and Robert Philip Lee and his wife Pamela of Rumson, NJ and her granddaughter, Meredith Ann Lee, her brother George Baird, Jr. and his wife Anne of Duxbury, MA, her sister Barbara Swift and her husband David of Nashville, TN, and her cousin Mary Elizabeth Heinrichs, South Hampton, NY.
Memorial services to be held at Presbyterian Church of Rumson, time and date to be announced. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: the Presbyterian Church of Rumson Memorial Garden. Please visit Ann’s memorial website available at www.sidun.com.
