Obituary of Ethel Eager
Ethel Eager, age 92 passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010 in Navesink, NJ.
She was born in Sea Bright, most recently residing in Rumson, and was a life long resident of the Jersey Shore.
Mrs. Eager enjoyed her career years as Executive Secretary at Hillstrom & Eager, Rumson. She was a member of Rumson’s Senior Citizens’ Center; enjoyed Gardening and Golfing; loved the beach and Ship Ahoy Beach Club, and adored and cherished spending time with her family.
Ethel is predeceased by her husband, John Joseph Eager, and sister Doris Jones. Surviving to cherish her memory is her son, John Eager and wife Barbara, Chappaqua, NY; Sister-in-law, Maryann Eager and three beautiful grandchildren, Kendra, Sean and Kyle Eager.
Friends are invited to visit on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Red Bank at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Long Branch.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Ethel’s name to the Rumson Senior Citizens’ Center, First Presbyterian Church of Rumson, 4 East River Road, Rumson, NJ 07760.
