Obituary of Mary Herta Dominczak

Mary Herta Dominczak, 86, passed away on March 15, 2010 at the Arnold Water Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Ilsenburg, Germany and spent most of her life in Colts Neck. She worked as a cafeteria chef at Bendix Corp in Holmdel. Most recently, she volunteered her time at the Monmouth Museum in Lincroft for over 20 years; was a communicant of St. Leo the Great RC Church in Lincroft and adored her four wonderful cats! Mary was very caring and always giving of herself. She was sincere, trusting, respectful and extremely hardworking. She was friendly and loved being surrounded by people. She will be deeply missed by all of those that she touched.

Mary is predeceased by her parents: Hermann and Emma (Stagge) Fuchs and her brother, Gerhard.
Surviving is her husband of 62 years, G. Michael Dominczak of Colts Neck, her son Raymond and his wife Beatriz Ospina Varon of Jackson, sisters-in-law: Ruth Radecke of Bloomingdale, NJ, Adeline Dominczak of Buffalo, NY; Dorothy Zimmerman of Buffalo, NY; Rita Young of Paramount, CA and Trudy DiGati of Cheektowaga, NY.

A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Leo the Great RC Church in Lincroft on Friday, March 19th at 10:30am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mary’s name to De La Salle Nursing Home at Christian Brothers Academy, 810 Newman Springs Rd. Lincroft, NJ 07738.
