  • Susan Godzak: Dr Torsney has been my physician, mentor, and friend for 35 years. He has enriched my journey in life more than words can express. Caring, kindness, and a wonderful sense of humor uplifted all those who came in contact with him. He always had time for us, either on the phone or allowing us to come in for an impromptu visit. His focus was not about ego or money, but by how many people he could help. Phillip was a very intelligent man who approached life and medicine with a loving Irish heart an a lot of common sense. Its rumored that his staff had to remind him to increase his charges for services on a regualr basis. As long as I live, I'll never forget the positive impact he has had on my life. He treated my allergies but touched my heart and soul as well. I will miss him always.
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family.
    Norma Jean Kennedy Godzak

Dr Torsney has been my primary physician and friend from age 7 to 42. I have received 36 years worth of Torsney wisdom and advice that has carried me through my life. I'm very grateful to have known this very special man.
Please accept my sympathy for the loss of your Father and Grandfather.

  • richard keller: My heartfelt condolences go out to the Torsney Family. Dr. Torsney was a true gentleman who became a friend of our family taking care of my mother's severe allergies and through our mutual love of horses. He always got excited this time of the year anticipating what good fortunes lay ahead for his racing prospects in the coming season. I worked as a bartender for many years at Dr. Torsney's annual 4th of July party and after every thing was cleaned up and put away he would pour us a drink of his favorite Irish whiskey, and start telling stories of the races his horses had won, the hopes he had for this years crop and of course a joke - always a joke. I should have been paying him. Our family will miss his kindness, class and sincerity - they don't make many like him anymore. God Bless Doc, I'm sure you are headed to the winner's circle.

  • Pam Curchin: To the family of Dr. Torsney. Please accept my condolences on the loss of a wonderful man. He was my allergist from 1992 untiul his retirement. He was such a kind and gentle man with a great dry sense of humor. He cured me of my bee sting allergy which was life threatening. He enjoyed the fact that I was just about his only patient who rode her bike to my appointments. I have many fond memories of such a special person who excelled in his career. I will certainly miss him.
