Obituary of Ruth Louise Wallace
Ruth Louise Wallace, 87, entered into eternal life on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Chapin Hill Nursing facility, Red Bank, NJ.
Born in Newark, Miss Wallace later moved to Eatontown where she resided for over 58 years. She graduated from West Side High School, Newark; continued her education at Newark City Hospital of Nursing before receiving her Masters of Arts degree from Seton Hall University. She was employed by Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank as Director of Nursing from where she retired. She also proudly served our country, as an officer, in the US Navy during WWII.
Ruth is predeceased by her parents Joseph Harold and Sophy (Schweitzer) Wallace; brother, Joseph Harold Wallace, Jr.; sister, Arlene Kelly and brother-in-law, John Kelly.
Those who have been honored to know Ruth will miss her terribly, as she touched so many lives. She is a deeply loved Sister, Sister-in-law, Aunt, Great, and Great-Great Aunt to many Nieces and Nephews: Sister, Jean Greenwood and husband William, Eatontown; sister-in-law, Beverly Wallace of Bayville; Sharon Princing and husband Vernon, Freehold; William Greenwood, Jr. and wife Karen, Brick; Patricia Green and husband Robert, Eatontown; Robert Greenwood, Shrewsbury Township; Maureen Owen and husband Richard, Ewing Township; Jack Kelly and wife EmmyLou, Flanders; Patrick Kelly and wife Dolores, Medford; Michael Kelly and wife Dana, Colts Neck; Robert Wallace and wife Katherine, VA; Lynn Wallace, Bayville; Colleen Blonder and husband Tom, Beachwood 21 Great Nieces and Nephews and 5 Great Great Nieces and Nephews.
The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Braun Funeral Home, 106 Broad Street, Eatontown. A Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 17th at 10:a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
