  • Allyana Ziolko: My first memory of my Uncle Walter was he and his wife, Aunt Gloria visiting our family in Leonardo when I was about 5 or 6 years old, and my sister drumming into my head that I was to address them as "Aunt" and "Uncle". And I confess to having a crush on him at that age because he was so handsome and nice. He and Aunt Gloria hosted us at their home so many times over the years and it was always a thrill to be around him. And I never walked past St. Peter College without feeling some pride in the building he helped to build. I would always think "Uncle Walter put those bricks up there." He was blessed with wonderful children and a wonderful caring life, and he was very much loved and will be missed.
