OBITUARY OF WALTER JAGIELSKI

WALTER JAGIELSKI, 83, of Lincroft, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2010 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. He was born and raised in Jersey City before moving to Lincroft 52 years ago. He served his country in the United States Navy on the Whitney Destroyer during World War II. He was a member of the Tin Can Sailors.

He is predeceased by his son Walter Jagielski, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Gloria A. (nee Romano) Jagielski, his son Bruce and his wife Carol Jagielski of Howell, his daughter Lynn and her husband Larry Goldsmith of Holmdel, five grandsons Walter, James, Daniel of Eatontown and Christopher and Ryan of Howell, one granddaughter Shelby of Holmdel and one great-granddaughter Kayla of Long Branch.

Funeral services are private under the direction of John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: The Tin Can Sailors 908 Patton St. North Brunswick NJ 08902, Attn: Jim Kletz.
