Dave was more than a cousin; he was a good friend and a very wise man. We had many long conversations about a broad range of topics and he always impressed me with his deep knowledge of the subject (except baseball). I learned something new every time. What a privilege to be among those who knew him! I will miss him but he lived a full life and is now at peace. Kazzy and I send our prayers to Beatrice, Mary, Dave and the rest of the family at this difficult time.

Dave was a true gentleman and a credit to the legal profession. He was always a steady and calming influence during the Lehrer years in the Prosecutors office. Prior commitments prevented me from attending the viewing today, but Dave and his family have been in my thoughts all day. Dave will be missed by all who knew him

I had the great good fortune to meet Mr. Foley during my clerkship at the county prosecutor's office. He had the rare gift of making a person feel welcome in unfamiliar, new surroundings. He was very kind to me and I will never forget that kindness. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.

Terribly sad news to learn of this tonight. Had the pleasure of his assistance throughout my career as well as his kindness, grace and humility. May the thoughts and prayers of others bring you a measure of comfort in the days, weeks and months ahead.

As long distance cousins, we had the pleasure of David's and Beatrice's company when visiting Connecticut with their two adorable children. David was a giant of a man both in terms of physical stature and by reputation, judging from the stories my mother, Kathryn, used to tell about you. I was so happy to catch up with you in Kentucky at Mary's 90th birthday party. Beatrice, David and Mary, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. You were blessed with a wonderful husband and father. Rest in peace, David. All of us will miss you. --Jim and Elizabeth Mullen

David,
Most sorry to learn of the passing of your Dad. Sounds like he was quite an impressive man. At the age of 87, he certainly had a nice run at it. Thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family. God Bless.
