Patricia M. “Patty” Wilson, 64, of Shrewsbury passed away peacefully in Red Bank on Tuesday, November 14. She was born to Dolores (Sparks) and late Alfred William Goodger in Elizabeth, NJ.
Patty was an amazing woman with many talents, from being a cosmetologist, to being a professional artist and entertainer, her spirits were always high, and she would brighten up a room as soon as she walked in. She was a splendid cook, and would often cook personal recipes without ever having to measure a single teaspoon. Patty’s love for gardening brought her garden to life, and she would often spend time admiring the flowers that she planted. She adored wildlife. Most of all however, Patty loved her family.
She is survived by her husband John Dewey Wilson III, and her two children, Cheyenne Wilson and his wife Beate of Bowie, MD, and Cimarron of Oklahoma City, OK. Also surviving are her loving grandchildren Damien, Rowan, and Meakoda.
Visitation will be held at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave, Red Bank on Monday, November 20 from 2-4pm, and on Tuesday, November 21 from 2-4 &7-9pm. There will be a mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael’s RC Church in Long Branch on Wednesday, November 22 at 10:30am. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Patty’s name to World Wildlife Fund, 1250 24th Street, N.W. Washington, DC 20037.
