Camille V Christie

Camille V. Christie, 93, of Tinton Falls passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 7th.

She was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Nunzio and Lucy (Scalera) Casino in 1925. She grew up in Brooklyn, and would become a teacher for the Catholic diocese for over 30 years before retiring. Camille enjoyed cooking, but loved spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren most of all.

She is predeceased by her husband Joseph G., and her sister Grace Casino.

Surviving are her two sons: Joseph and his wife Lya Christie of Franklin, NY, and Ronald and his wife Kerry Christie of Manasquan;  her sister: Mary Castellano; her four grandchildren: Desiree, Adam, Tara, and Ron; and her six great-grandchildren: Ava, Sam, Charlotte, Cameron, Cole, and Camille; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank on Sunday, Sept. 9th from 5-9pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, Sept. 10th at St. James, Red Bank at 10am, followed by burial at Mt. Olivet, Middletown.
