Cassandra Flanagan

Cassandra Flanagan, 88 of Holmdel, and formerly of Middletown N.J. passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2022. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y to the late A. William and Veronica Contardi. Cassandra was the Assistant to the Director of Cooperative Education at Monmouth University, retiring in the late 90’s. She was an active member of St. Mary, Mother of God Church in Middletown. Cassandra was an accomplished artist, avid reader, fabulous cook who enjoyed playing mahjong and the challenge of a crossword puzzle. Most of all, she had a smile that would light up a room and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is pre-deceased by her beloved husband, John F. Flanagan and her sister, Patricia McAuliffe.
Cassandra is survived by her three children, William Devine and his wife Cheryl, Jan Flanagan, and Stephen Flanagan and his wife Lorrie-Ann and two grandchildren, Dean Patrick Flanagan and Elodie Rose Flanagan.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 3-7 PM at the John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Ave. Red Bank, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary, Mother of God Church in Middletown.
