David M. Lettice
October 25, 1942 ~ January 19, 2023 (age 80) 80 Years Old
Dave lived in many towns in Upstate NY until he joined the Military. Dave served in the Army from 1960-1966 where he drove tanker trucks. He was stationed in Germany for 4 yrs and stateside for 2. He was a bus driver for Boro Buses for many yrs. & and was a truck driver for Wakefern and Costco before retiring. He was a talented woodworker who would make anything from shelves & picture frames to kids toys and chairs. He was also a grill master who would cook for family and friends alike. Nobody was ever turned away. He was known for his tough demeanor but underneath he had a heart of gold. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for anybody that needed help, even if he didn’t know you. Anyone who knew Dave could tell you he was happiest on his boat with a beer in one hand and a fishing pole in the other. Dave will be missed by his family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Marshall Lettice, Beatrice LaPlant and his Sister, Margaret LaPlant. Surviving are his wife of 44 yrs. Lynda (Schwarz) Lettice, his sisters: Grace (Manley), Jean (Rich), Edith (Norman) & Brothers: Robert (Pete), Jimmy and Jerry (Shelby). His children: David (Jill), Thomas, Lori, Tracy (Calvin) & Robert (Maria). Grandchildren: Priscilla, Katie, Mollie, Eric, Taylor, Rebecca, Seth, TJ, Brendan, Charlie and RJ.
