April 7, 1954 ~ January 20, 2024 (age 69) 69 Years Old
Deborah Lyon, 69, of Lincroft, NJ, passed away on January 20, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on April 7, 1954 in Washington, D.C. and moved to NJ in 1976. Deborah was a loving, supportive, and thoughtful mother, who was dedicated to her family. She cherished her role as a grandmother, and it was clear that her grandchildren brought her immense love and joy. She was hard-working and devoted to her work and dearly loved her colleagues, many of whom she considered as extended family. She had an undying passion for baseball and was an avid New York Yankees fan. She also had a deep affection for dogs, particularly her beloved pet, Marty.
Deborah had a successful career as a unit secretary on the maternal child health unit at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ from 2001-2023. She also worked as a teacher at Mountain Hill School in Middletown, NJ from 1995-2017. Deborah’s nurturing personality and dedication to caring for others made her an adored figure in both the medical and educational fields.
Deborah is survived by her daughter Jennifer Krimm and husband Kevin Krimm; her son Christopher and partner Annie Grabowski; and her son Kevin Lyon. She was a proud grandmother to three grandchildren: Cassandra and Tessa Krimm and Tyler Lyon. Deborah is also survived by her brothers, Steve and Kevin Cole, and her loving partner Dennis Fowler. She was preceded in death by her husband Barton Lyon, son Daniel Lyon, and parents Ralph and Connie Cole. Deborah will be deeply and forever be missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her kindness, dedication, and love. Services for Deborah will be held at John E Day Funeral Home in Red Bank, NJ on January 27th from 2-4pm. A memorial service will be held on February 1st at 11am at Trinity Episcopal Church, also in Red Bank.
