Helen M Fix

Helen M. Fix, 83, of Middletown, passed away at her home on October 6, 2021.  Helen grew up in Rumson and was a resident of Red Bank and Middletown her whole life. 

Helen was a devoted wife and mother, a fun loving and caring person who developed many valued friendships over her lifetime. She loved to sew, quilt, and knit. Helen worked as an office manager for EBSCO Subscription Services and was a communicant of St. Catharine’s Church in Holmdel.

Helen was predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years, John “Jack” R. Fix, her parents; Herbert and Kathryn (McCue) Langler; her sister, Elizabeth Daly and her husband, Joseph and her grandson T.J Applegate.

Surviving Helen are her loving children; Deborah Applegate of Manchester, NJ, Sharon Fix of Pennsville, NJ, and Jacqueline Hurd and husband Richard of Needham, MA and John R. Fix, Jr. and wife Leneita of West Palm Beach, FL. Also, her sister Kathleen Martino and her husband, Joseph of Clearwater, FL, her grandchildren; Krista Applegate, Robert Hurd, Kyle Hurd, Thomas Hurd, James Bates, Bethany Carsey and her husband Benjamin, Jacqueline Bates, Caleb Fix, Kaleigh Fix, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, October 12 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 13 at 9:15 AM at St. Catharine’s Church in Holmdel, NJ.  Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Red Bank, NJ.
