Jeffrey T. Dorworth, 44, of Fair Haven, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2018. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland to his loving parents Thomas Dorworth and Virginia Hill. Jeffrey graduated from Gunnery Prep School in Connecticut where he played Varsity hockey and football. Jeffrey received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland and went on to earn his CPA. Jeffrey was a successful Agent Manager and Sales Executive at New Horizon Communications Group. Jeffrey was a devoted husband and loving father. He took great interest in his children. He coached his two sons’ travel hockey teams and was also their baseball coach for Sandy Hook Little League. Jeffrey was a supportive dance dad always there to cheer his daughter on. Jeffrey played Men’s league hockey at the Red Bank Armory and he was an avid Washington Capitals fan. Jeffrey was overjoyed to finally get to see his CAPS win the Stanley Cup.
Jeffrey is predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Suter, maternal grandparents, Robert and Shirley Hill and his step father, Russell Leach. Surviving is his loving wife, Carolyn (Zulewski) Dorworth, his cherished children, Chase, Cole, and Ava, his dear parents Virginia Leach and Thomas Dorworth and his wife Linda Coe, his brother Gregory Dorworth, his paternal grandfather Ernie Suter, his mother and father in law, Alexander and Diane Zulewski, his brother and sisters in laws, Kristine Zulewski, Denise and William Bellenger, and Alex Zulewski and his nephews Shawn and Jayson.
A visitation will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701 on Sunday November 18, 2018 from 2-6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven on Monday November 19, 2018 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a college fund has been established for the Dorworth children.
