Jonathan Daniel Bannon, 35, of Red Bank, passed away on January 7, 2020. He was born and raised in Red Bank to his loving parents Daniel and MaryEllen. He attended Red Bank Catholic High School where he was an avid wrestler and earned his Associates Degree from Brookdale Community College. Jonathan was a gentle, loving soul who loved to travel and had a passion for the water, reggae music, and his family and friends.
He is predeceased by his grandfathers, John Bannon and Ambrose O’Connor. He leaves behind his daughter Meara; his parents MaryEllen O’Connor, Daniel and Kathryn Bannon; his loving sisters Heather Deus and her husband Michael, Kait Magee and her husband Billy, and Sophia Bannon; His adoring nieces Katarina and Emmarose Deus and his dear grandmothers, Hannah Bannon and Grace O’Connor. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who he treasured.
Visitation will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701 on Friday January 10, 2020 from 4 – 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Red Bank on Saturday January 11, 2020 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent in Jonathan’s memory to the Tigger House at tiggerhouse.org.
