Kristen E Garrison

Kristen E. Garrison, 50, of Red Bank, passed away at home surrounded by family on November 27, 2022. Kristen was born in Morristown, NJ to the late Donald and MaryBeth (Propst) Westervelt. She was a graduate of Jefferson Twp. High School in Oak Ridge, NJ, Class of 1990. Kristen then earned her Bachelor’s degree from Caldwell College and did additional studies at Kean College.  She and her daughter attended St. James RC Church in Red Bank.
 
Kristen was a dedicated educator in the Newark School System. 
 
Kristen is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Richard Garrison, her beloved daughter, Elizabeth, her siblings; Peter Westervelt and companion Kim Vong of PA and Kate Cattani and husband Tony of Medford, NJ, brother-in-law, Terrence Garrison and wife Kahterah of Bloomfield, NJ and sister-in-law, Ann Richardson and husband Brian of East Orange, NJ, as well as, nieces and nephews; Mady, Alena, Laurel and Reese Cattani and Tyrone and Gerrod Richardson.
 
A memorial gathering will be held on Sat. Dec. 3rd from 1-3pm at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank, NJ. A Celebration of Kristen's life will take place at 2:30pm. Please wear bright colors to honor Kristen.
