Larry B. Seip, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord on May 27, 2021. He is survived by his beloved wife Carol K. Seip, Middletown, NJ. Eva C. Seip and Albert B. Seip, both deceased, were his earthly parents. Larry and his wife Carol married in August of 1960, and had over 60 years of blessed marriage. He will be sadly missed by his many friends and relatives too numerous to mention. Larry earned his Bachelor of Science from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. He received his Master of Education degree from The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA and earned his Doctorate in Education from Rutgers University, in New Brunswick, NJ. Larry taught science and math at Patton Masonic School in Elizabethtown, PA and was a teacher and supervisor of science and math at Red Bank Regional High School in Little Silver, NJ for 34 years before retiring in 1993. Larry was known as the “Mayor of Ballroom Dancing” because of his charming and gregarious personality, greeting and dancing with newcomers to make them feel comfortable and happy in the world of ballroom dancing. He spent many years raising Monarch butterflies and lecturing in NJ about them and their habitat. He was a member of USA Dance, Society of American Magicians, Int’l Society of Magicians, and past president of IBM 123. He was a member of the Middletown United Methodist Church and was currently attending Westminster Presbyterian Church.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home in Red Bank, NJ on Tuesday June 1, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:30 pm. Burial will be private.
