Michael John Coolahan, 55, of Highlands, passed peacefully on Monday, Oct 19, 2020. Michael was born & raised in Red Bank and was previously a resident of Sea Bright & Hoboken. In 2004, Michael’s life took on new meaning when he settled with his soulmate Jessica and they welcomed Rylee Elizabeth into the world. They were the “three musketeers” and Rylee was the center of his universe, proudly watching her grow into a young lady and as she excelled in competitive gymnastics.
Michael graduated from Red Bank Regional HS in 1986. He enjoyed various careers in the building trades before working in the real estate industry for a period of time. He loved watching documentaries almost as much as he loved a good party. “Chilly C” and his infectious laugh will be missed by many.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jim & Midge Coolahan, his brother Jimmy, and his brother-in-law Charles Glueck.
In addition to his beloved wife and daughter, Michael leaves behind a large family including his sisters and their spouses, Nora & Brian, Peggy & Terry, Beth & Michael; his brothers and their spouses, Edward & Susan, Kevin & Lori, and John & Nicole and Nancy; and his in-laws and their spouses Sara & Ludvig, Timothy & Melinda, and Mathew & Ron. He also leaves 20 nieces and nephews, many cousins, and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations are graciously accepted to The Wounded Warrior Project.
A Memorial Mass will take place on Monday October 26th at 10 AM at Saint James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank.
