Raymond F. Wimmer Jr.

Raymond F. Wimmer, Jr. 69, of Beacon, N.Y. passed away peacefully from Pneumonia in
Vassar Brothers Medical Center of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. on March 18, 2018.

Raymond was born in NYC, N.Y on October 28, 1948 to the late Raymond F. Wimmer, Sr. and Irene E. Wimmer. He was raised and lived in Atlantic Highlands and the Jersey Shore and moved for work in 1996 to Beacon, N.Y. where he retired and has lived until the present time.

He served as a member of the United States Air Force as well as the United States Navy.
In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and was an avid runner.


Raymond is survived by his daughter, Melissa Hoppe and her husband, Michael along with
his three grandchildren, Erin, Allison and Katelin of Bordentown, N.J. ; a sister, Irene A. Pollio
and her husband, Joseph, Jr. of Ocean Twp. N.J.; two nieces, Megan Bunz and her husband,
Thomas of Granby, CT. and Amanda Newman and her husband, Thomas of Yardley, PA. He also
has two grand nieces and three grand nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM
at the John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Ave. Red Bank, N.J., where a prayer service will be held at that time. A repast to follow which will be announced.
