Sam J. Arneo

Sam J. Arneo, 90, of Middletown, passed away March 23, 2020.

Born in New York, NY to Carmello and Gina Arneo, Sam was a graduate of the Rhodes School of New York, St. John’s University and The College of Insurance. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Sam worked for over 25 years in insurance sales, retiring from Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company in New York City. He was also a long-time member of the Bella Vista Country Club in Marlboro.

Sam was pre-deceased by his parents, Carmello and Gina, his beloved wife, Elizabeth Anne Arneo, his brother, John V. Arneo and his sister, Teresa McVeigh.

Sam is survived by his caring nieces and nephew, Gerald T. McVeigh, Jeanne Weber, Cindy Massone, Christine Burns, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews, Danielle Morris, Tiffany Milford, Tina Amarosa, Ashley Massone, Marissa McVeigh, Brianna McVeigh, Sebastian McVeigh, Robert Weber and Joseph Weber.

Family and friends may attend Sam’s burial service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery on Friday, November 18th at 12:00pm.
