Just read of Ruth's passing in the St Jerome/St Mary church bulletin this morning. Pat and I offer our most sincere condolences to the entire family. Although we did not get to spend a whole lot of time with Ruth, the several occasions that we were with her and the McGinnis family were truly a blessing. She was a hero and touched so many in such significant ways. We will miss her.

I'll always remember seeing Ruth at church. She'd wave to me and Kelsey (2 or 3 years old at the time) as we walked in. It got to the point where I'd feel guilty when I skipped, thinking "oh no, Mrs. McGinnis is going to know I blew off church today'.. Hahaha. But seeing her there was always a bright spot in my week. Thank you Ruth for keeping me in line.
To all the McGinnis family - Marje, Kelsey, Matthew and I wish our sincerest condolences to all of you. Ruth was a wonderful lady and we will all miss her dearly.

Sue and family.
Our sympathy and condolences. Sorry for your loss. How highly regarded and loved was your mom! So apparent by all the warm comments about her smile, personality and lighting up any room. And how wonderful that your family had her for all those years. A double blessing for the family.
Prayers for all.

To Susan and family:
""Sorry" doesn't seem like the right word to say when thinking about your mother, Ruth. The words that come to mind are "joy; laughter; heart and soul." Your mother was/is the heartbeat of this family. As long as your heart beats, so will hers for she left all of herself in each of her children and descendants. I look forward to you sharing the incredible journey of your darling mother, as only a reporter can do--:).
I am lifting you up and asking that the Father upholds you with His mighty right hand. Peace and fond memories to you and your family. Regards.
