Philip Harry Heinle, 68, of Oceanport passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 5th, 2018. He was born in Newark to the late Philip and Janet (Kridel) Heinle.
Phil grew up in Maplewood and attended Columbia, H.S., where he was known for his perpetual laughing and joking, which he continued his entire life. He went on to receive a degree in Electronics from Northeastern Institute, MA, and further studies at Widener University, PA. Phil spent most of his career in Telecommunications - most recently as a Telecom Analyst. He was a member of the IBEW 164. He was a collector of anything mechanical and known for his love of adventure from motorcycle cruising to surfing to scuba diving and swimming.
Phil is survived by his wife of over 40 years Mary (Thill) Heinle, his two loving daughters: Lauren of Los Angeles, CA, and Kirsten of Lincroft, his three sisters Phylis Heinle Rooney of Emerson, Carolyn Heinle McCutcheon (Jim) of Palm Coast, FL, Janet Heinle of Santa Monica, CA, and many nieces and nephews. Also, his new puppy, Odie, a Christmas gift from his girls.
Visitation will be held at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave, Red Bank, NJ, on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Church of the Precious Blood in Monmouth Beach on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
